In collaboration with the design team partners and the AISC Steel Solutions Center ASI can produce project design drawings and budgets accordingly. Use of 3-D modeling software allows ASI to participate in the design of any project to bring it within budget. Detailing must have integrated a well-planned strategy to produce clear and consistent details for the production.
Detailers are expected to be personally engaged in the pre-construction phases as part of the coordination efforts.
Providing complete shop and erection drawings including field fit up and welding details. The coordination of drawings, processing RFI’s and drawing submittals.
ASI utilizes SDS/2 3D modeling and detailing software which allows ASI to make sure members fit up correctly before they get detailed. This also cuts down the time it takes to produce drawings for large projects.
SDS/2 BIM saves project managers, BIM coordinators, detailers, and fabricators valuable time by enabling them with the power to generate information vital to the BIM coordination work process.
The software serves as a conduit to information stored within the 3D model. All model imports and exports to and from SDS/2 are a part of SDS/2 BIM. Model import and export functionality included with the SDS/2 BIM station will enable the same functionality with all other SDS/2 software solutions.
Designed to allow BIM coordinators to view all steel information on a project, SDS/2 BIM provides access to the 3D model in its native environment. BIM coordinators can have export capabilities at their fingertips for any SDS/2 model. Users will have the choice of several different formats for use with their coordination products and can import DWF reference model.
Field erection drawings
ASI takes pride in the ability to produce a “complete set of drawings”. ASI is capable of producing erection drawings that show complete field fit up and welding details.
ASI is capable of electronically transferring drawings to the customer.
ASI has the capabilities to make Isometric models to help with manufacturing and erection through coordination of EPM software.
